Iakovos Michailidis
Professor of Modern and Contemporary History @Aristotle University of Thessaloniki
Iakovos Michailidis serves as Professor of Modern and Contemporary History. In the academic year 2012-2013 he served as a Visiting Professor at the University of Cyprus. In the 2019-2020 academic year, he received a scholarship from the Fulbright Foundation and was a Visiting Researcher at George Washington University. In the same year he was an Academic Visitor at the University of Oxford. He has worked as an Expert for the Western Balkans on the Economic and Social Committee of the European Union. He is the head of the Research Centre of the Society for Macedonian Studies and a member of many Greek and European scientific networks and organizations , such as the European thematic history network Clioh / Cliohnet. He was a historical consultant for various TV programmes in Greece and edited the historical tributes of SKAI 100.3 radio on the subject of the Balkan Wars, the Asia Minor Campaign, Eleftherios Venizelos, the Occupation and the Civil War.

Nikolaos Misolidis

Nikolaos Ath, Misolidis is a graduate of the History and Archaeology Department of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. He obtained his Master with honors from the same department in 2013 and his dissertation handles “The demographic image of Thessaloniki Vilayet during the long 19th century (1789 – 1912)”. Currently, he is a PhD Candidate in the Department of History, Archaeology and Cultural Recourses Management. His PhD thesis is related to “The Repatriation and Rehabilitation of the Greek Displaced Persons from Axis Countries during the decade of 1940 by United Nations Relief and Rehabilitations Administration (UNRRA) and its successor International Refugee Organization (IRO)”. He has been a member of the Society of Macedonian Studies Research Center since 2010 and has participated in many research projects. Nikolaos is a Research Fellow in the Endowed Chair of Pontic Studies in the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.

Dimitrios Mitsopoulos

Dimitris Mitsopoulos is a postgraduate student in M.A program of Global History at the Free University of Berlin and Humboldt University of Berlin. He obtained his BA in History and Archaeology, with Honors, at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. My research interests mainly include Jewish Sephardic History, late Ottoman Macedonia, the transition from empires to nation-states, and history of trade networks. He has received scholarships and grants from German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) and Rothschild Foundation Hanadiv Europe.
Alexandra Perchanidou
MA in Black Sea and Eastern Mediterranean Studies @International Hellenic University
Alexandra Perchanidou is a post graduate student of History and Archeology. Her undergraduate studies were completed in the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki in the Department of History and Archeology. Her MA in the Black Sea and Eastern Mediterranean Studies was conducted in the International Hellenic University with her Dissertation about The Pontic Greek Genocide. She is a researcher in the Society for Macedonian Studies.
